Prologue,

Maedelle. n.

Cogito ergo sum. I think therefore I exist.

The sense of accomplishment fuels me, and the scent of laundromats, petrichor and chlorine are the best smells in the world. Pink and glitter makes everything pretty, as so gold and silver. My idea of a perfect date is walking in the rain. Hot chocolate with marshmallows, a good book and/or a nice pen and my sketchpad are my rainy day companions. The sound of rain is music to my ears, and it’s always the little things that matter to me.

I love rain, but I have a thing for sunsets.

Unconscious bitch stares are always part of the equation. Pessimist and narcissist, I tend to think too much. Paranoia is always present too, so is clumsiness. I’m not a fan of mediocrity, but procrastination always takes the lead. How I succeed with things is up to you to figure out.

Photography enthusiast, literature junkie and writer, my heart screams Journalism. I write on rainy days and lazy afternoons and some day, I want to be remembered as the girl who touched people with her words, just like Peeta Mellark.

Fifteen, turning sixteen next May 31st, I always forget I’m not fourteen anymore. I live somewhere along the metro, Philippines where it’s always bright and sunny except for the monsoons. One day, I will travel all around the world, take pictures that will speak volumes and write words that will move people.

And someday I will be a lawyer, a debater, publish my own book, and have my own column in the newspaper. And someday I will inspire the world.

But right now, I’m just getting there. Inspiring the world, one person at a time.
